Het nieuwe regeerakkoord voor 2025–2030 bevat indrukwekkende koppen en speerpunten, maar bij nadere beschouwing valt vooral het uitblijven van concrete beleid op. Onder de vlag “Samen op weg naar een sociaal rechtvaardige, welvarende samenleving” rijgen de vijf coalitiepartners mooie idealen van duurzame economische ontwikkeling en rechtsstaatversterking tot inclusiviteit en jeugdbeleid zich aaneen zonder dat een duidelijke actiestap wordt geformuleerd. Het document oogt op het eerste gezicht vol ambitie, maar voelt in alles als een door ChatGPT gegenereerd akkoord: veel titels, weinig uitvoerbare plannen en geen antwoord op de cruciale vraag hoe de overheid haar beloften daadwerkelijk wil realiseren, en dit speelde al bij alle partijprogramma’s.
Instead of elaborate policies, the agreement contains a series of slogans: "efficient governance," "inclusive participation" and "sustainable development." Crucial questions remain unanswered: what laws will follow? How will financial resources be distributed? Which departments will bear what responsibilities? This missing "how-question" means that no one, especially entrepreneurs, knows where we stand.
Timelines are also lacking. There is talk of short-term recovery and structural reforms, but nowhere does it say when which bill will be introduced or what concrete milestones must be achieved by 2026, 2027 or 2028. Measures of results, reporting requirements and budget pass-throughs are not to be found.
The coalition agreement looks more like a ChatGPT brief than a policy document, even texts like "strengthening implementation and supervision mechanisms" and "harmonious economic diversification" follow one another without any real substantiation. Where businesses and citizens now urgently need clarity on regulation, financing and implementation, it all remains vague.
Despite the promising headlines, this agreement lacks substance; like an AI assignment, it is without real policy force. What needs to happen is to translate these words into concrete legislation and action plans so that entrepreneurs can plan. Unfortunately, without that translation, the coalition agreement remains a cretinous document.
