European leaders and Ukraine welcomed the outcome as proof that democratic institutions endure, even under pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
PAS promises to speed up reforms demanded by Brussels: independent judiciary, tough anti-corruption, modernization of governance, and an energy agenda that makes the country less dependent on Russian flows. The preliminary seat distribution indicates a comfortable majority in the 101-member parliament, enough to push through laws that have long lingered. At the same time, economic realities remain unruly: purchasing power under pressure, energy prices volatile and a large diaspora back home that wants to see promises land in jobs, infrastructure and services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The opposition may be defeated, but it is not irrelevant. The Patriotic Bloc retains a solid minority and will magnify every pain point. In that context, political hygiene is crucial: transparent procurement, open communication about reform costs and a security apparatus that parries disinformation without lapsing into censorship. Because a majority offers power, but credibility requires customization and predictability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What this means outside Moldova. For Brussels, it is a strategic boost on the eastern flank, while in Moscow the space for classical influence shrinks.
